Trying to capture the romance and wanderlust of travel is no mean feat but Australian designer Limedrop (aka Clea Garrick) is quietly suceeding. The label, which is seven years strong, takes its cues from adventure and discovery, a vision which translates to clear lines, bold colours, structured pieces and exclusive prints that are cheeky and wide-eyed in the same breath.
Irrevent undertones aside, Limedrop has racked up a serious rap sheet, including taking out the Chambord Shine Awards (2010), showcasing collections in the Mercedes-Benz fashion week (2011), L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion week (since 2008) , Melbourne Spring Fashion week (since 2009) and in 2012 being invited to take part in the Australian Fashion Excellence showcase in London and Beijing. The Limedrop range now extends to luxury garments with Elle De and their much adored floral headpiece range set to be leading trends in 2013.
We got the chance to chat to Clea about what style and originality means to her, the story behind her collaboration with Stoli Australia and what inspires her designs. Check out the video and get a glimpse of the Limedrop magic.
