The Proof is in the Pudding

The person who decided that salt and caramel should go together deserves a medal. I mean, really. It might be the most delicious combination of all time. The perfect marriage of salty and sweet.

Leave it to the folks at Stoli to transform that lip-smacking combo into a vodka flavor. Genius.

Leave it to me to turn it into the perfect boozy fall bite. I present to you… Salted Caramel Pudding Shots. These beauties are even better than they sound.

-3/4 cup cold milk
-1 small box butterscotch instant pudding
-¼ cup Stoli Salted Karamel vodka
-¼ cup Stoli Vanil (vanilla) vodka
-¼ cup cream based liqueur (such as apple crème or caramel creme)
-1 (8 ounce) tub whipped topping, thawed in refrigerator
-sprinkle of cinnamon (for garnish)
-apples & lemon juice for serving (optional)

Combine cold milk with instant pudding mix using an electric mixer until it resembles regular pudding. Slowly add all alcohols until fully incorporated. Gently *fold* in Cool Whip (no whisking, I said fold, OK?!) until everything is smooth and mixed together. Refrigerate or freeze until ready to serve. The freezer will give your boozy treats a soft-serve effect, the fridge serves up the traditional pudding consistency.

For a play on another fall treat… caramel apples, you can serve them inside hollowed out apple slices. Just remember to use the ol’ lemon juice trick to keep the apples from browning. Otherwise serve in traditional shot glasses with adorable mini spoons. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon and you’re good to go! Just don’t be surprised when you end up licking the bowl clean.
