About Stacey

She is literally a jane of all trades.

Stacey attained her love for drawing, illustrating and painting while studying graphic design and various types of art at Philadelphia's Hussian School of Art. She began her design career creating promotional materials for the entertainment and restaurant industries while managing a popular Philadelphia nightclub, Brave New World, working with a plethora of noteworthy clients, including: DJ Jazzy Jeff, The Sound of Philadelphia (TSOP/Kenny Gamble), Warmdaddy's, and Zanzibar Blue. As her acrylic and ink works of urban/comic book/graffiti-esque art came sneaking out on the scene, Stacey's works on wood, canvas and sneakers have been featured on the walls of MTV's The Real World Philadelphia house, on Air Force One's for Sneaker Pimps tour, on UPN 57 TV show Half and Half, and in the pages of Jill Scott's book of poetry, The Moments, The Minutes, The Hours.

Combining her artistry with her love for music and good times, Stacey became co-founder of the infamous, Tastytreats, the longest running party in Philadelphia. Over the past 12 years, Stacey has produced and creatively directed events with super-stars such as Prince, Questolove of the Roots, Gangstarr, Q-Tip, Biz Markie, De La Soul, Mos Def, Beverly Bond, Jill Scott, John Legend, Jamie Foxx and many others.

Bringing all of her talents together was what created FLYGIRRL. A place where art, design, music and ground breaking promotions come together with style. Stacey has also taken her creativity into the merchandising world with her infamous "jawn" t-shirts line. In 2009, Stacey was recognized by GPTMC (Greater Philadelphia Tourism + Marketing Corporation) as a Creative Ambassador of Philadelphia, blogs as an Insider and is also proudly part of the original creative group Philly360.

Since her first showcase 12 years ago, the momentum has grown to allow art to be a major part of her daily schedule.

Stacey has recently launched an earring line and has no plans of stopping now as she continues to share her original passion through exhibitions, features and promotional events.

"I have a funky and fresh perspective that pulls from all of the passions in my life - art, design, event planning - doing what I love to do and what makes me happy is what keeps me original. I have no boundaries."
